High Quality Landscaping in Spring Branch, TX

Our shop is on Rainbow Dr, so Spring Branch is not a service area we drive out to, it is where we are.

Where we are based

This is the home yard.

Singer Services is based at 1036 Rainbow Dr, which puts most Spring Branch properties within a few minutes of the shop. Tyler and Cory grew up here and went to Smithson Valley, so this is not a market we expanded into.

Practically, that means shorter response times on anything that needs attention, and a crew that already knows which lots sit on rock, which roads flood, and which subdivisions review what you plant.

What Spring Branch properties deal with

Old homes, new builds, same rock.

Caliche and hard rock

Digging, planting, and trenching are all harder here than the quote from a company an hour away assumes. Tree pits often need augering rather than a spade, and irrigation runs have to be planned around what can actually be trenched.

Sloped lots and open hilltops

A lot of Spring Branch sits on grade or on exposed hilltop. Both need drainage and erosion control designed in from the start, and hilltop properties get wind and sun that will find any plant not suited to it.

Runoff from newer building

The area is growing quickly, and water that used to soak into open ground now arrives on your lot from someone else's. Established yards that never had a drainage problem sometimes develop one.

Two very different housing stocks

Older homes with mature trees and settled soil need a different approach from new construction handed over with builder-grade sod over scraped caliche. We treat them as separate problems.

Why Spring Branch homeowners call us

Ten minutes, not an hour and a half.

The practical advantage of a local company is response time. When something needs looking at, we are down the road rather than driving up from Loop 1604, and that shows up most in irrigation faults and storm damage. The same crew covers Bulverde and Canyon Lake.

We have also been working on this ground since 2017. The plants we put in are the ones we have watched come through Spring Branch summers, February freezes, and the deer.

What customers say

Neighbors, mostly.

★★★★★

Above and beyond. Locally owned by longtime members of the community. Had them re-sod my back yard which is now thriving. Also, I unknowingly had a sprinkler head burst prior Singer crew beginning installation. Completely out of their scope of work, but they repaired it as a courtesy with one of the owners doing the hand digging.

We have used Singer Services for a variety of services, including regular mowing, landscape modifications, top dressing, shrub and tree bed maintenance, and irrigation, and they have consistently exceeded our expectations. Their attention to detail, responsiveness, and genuine care for our property are the reasons we continue to hire Singer.

Singer Services did a fantastic job today at my home. I had talked to Tyler about having mulch delivered and spread. Although his business was very busy, he managed to work me in and complete the job in a timely manner. The crew arrived early and got to work. All of the young men were very polite and listened to my concerns of problem areas.

Singer Services just finished a landscaping job for me and I could not give them a better recommendation. Everyone I dealt with was extremely polite, professional and hard working. I was so impressed with the work ethic of everyone on their team. They were responsive to all my questions and requests.

Spring Branch questions

What people here ask.

Can you plant trees in this rocky soil?

Yes. It usually requires augering or breaking through limestone and backfilling with the right soil mix. We will also tell you which trees actually thrive here, like live oak, Monterrey oak, cedar elm, and Mexican white oak, versus ones that struggle in alkaline rock.

My yard started flooding and it never used to. Why?

Usually because something upslope changed. As the area builds out, water that used to soak into open ground arrives on your lot instead. It is a grading and drainage problem rather than a rainfall one.

What plants will the deer leave alone?

Nothing is truly deer-proof, but Texas sage, salvias, rosemary, muhly grasses, mountain laurel, yucca, and lantana hold up well here. We design most Spring Branch landscapes around deer-resistant plants unless the yard is fenced.

Do you handle HOA landscape requirements?

Yes. We work across the local subdivisions regularly and can prepare plans that pass architectural review.
