Our shop is on Rainbow Dr, so Spring Branch is not a service area we drive out to, it is where we are.
Singer Services is based at 1036 Rainbow Dr, which puts most Spring Branch properties within a few minutes of the shop. Tyler and Cory grew up here and went to Smithson Valley, so this is not a market we expanded into.

A lot of Spring Branch sits on grade or on exposed hilltop. Both need drainage and erosion control designed in from the start, and hilltop properties get wind and sun that will find any plant not suited to it.
The area is growing quickly, and water that used to soak into open ground now arrives on your lot from someone else's. Established yards that never had a drainage problem sometimes develop one.
Older homes with mature trees and settled soil need a different approach from new construction handed over with builder-grade sod over scraped caliche. We treat them as separate problems.

Singer Services did a fantastic job today at my home. I had talked to Tyler about having mulch delivered and spread. Although his business was very busy, he managed to work me in and complete the job in a timely manner. The crew arrived early and got to work. Yes. It usually requires augering or breaking through limestone and backfilling with the right soil mix. We will also tell you which trees actually thrive here, like live oak, Monterrey oak, cedar elm, and Mexican white oak, versus ones that struggle in alkaline rock.

Nothing is truly deer-proof, but Texas sage, salvias, rosemary, muhly grasses, mountain laurel, yucca, and lantana hold up well here. We design most Spring Branch landscapes around deer-resistant plants unless the yard is fenced.
